Most people here probably including myself suggest jungleflasher instead of the xtractor software (the only thing that is up there with jungleflasher in my opinion is dosflash), remember to read the error messages fully (the later 7 series liteons did not include all the data, only the key is necessary and that will still dump fine but this lack of data can throw an error).Ī standard USB to miniUSB cable (like the PSP cable) is necessary.

You can still use a com port mind and it will save you having to install portio drivers: USB Support inside Windows ( Liteon Key dumping) OnBoard Read Button fully Compatible with Maximus Xtractor Reader Software. Maximus 360 USBXtractor Features: Portable with Full Case Design with protective cap.

The probe is only half of the solution for the liteon 7 series (8 series up to the last few months could use SATA, newly manufactured 360s seem to not yet be flashable), to go with it you will need the xtractor base unit (the liteon probe is an addon).Ĭom ports are not necessary once you have one of those devices as you can use USB. If the cap is not properly aligned you will break the spear off, we are working with maximus to correct this issue on future USBxtractors. If so yes it will work, that link includes the probe so be careful when buying things somewhere else as it may not include it. Your link is broken, am I to assume is what you are looking at.
